Nolan Wahlfeldt Signs Letter of Intent To Play Baseball for Bismark State

     Senior Nolan Wahlfeldt signed his official letter of intent to take his baseball talents to the next level.

    On Wednesday May 8th. Wahlfeldt committed to play Baseball for the Bismarck State Mystics, a NJCAAII college in Bismarck North Dakota. 

   Wahlfeldt, who had a number of schools interested in his talents said that he was impressed with the Mystics Head Coach and their recent success and dedication to develop their players. 

   “They had an impressive facility, training staff, and Coaching staff and the culture up there was more like a D1 or D2 school”, stated Wahlfeldt. 

    The Mystics have compiled an impressive 31-8 record this year going 20-3 in the Mon-Dak Conference. 

    They are currently playing in the Regional Tournament.

Wahlfeldt was a four sport athlete for the Broncs competing all four years in Football, Basketball, 3 years of Track and 3 years of High School Baseball. However, baseball has always been his passion. 

   Nolan started playing baseball like most kids at 4 years old, and became a standout almost immediately. 

    His best year came in 2022 when he tied for the most homeruns in Class “B” and was honored at the State Junior Legion Tournament winning the Big Stick Award for the player with the highest batting average during the tournament.   

    The highlight(s) of his playing career thus far was placing 2nd at the 2021 Class B State Junior Tournament and hitting his first grand slam during a game against Aberdeen. 

    Nolan plans to further his education by going into the Dental Field eventually becoming a dentist. 

    Nolan’s parents are Kyle and Angie Wahlfeldt and he has two older brothers, Chris and Sean.
