Belle Fourche News

A new sign for Pasque Ladies Fashions will be in place soon. The store has undergone a major renovation. However, “The store will always be ‘Lifestyles’”, said Michelle Evans as she reflected on the store’s history.

Lifestyles Ladies Fashions has been a familiar icon in Belle Fourche for many years. It was a place to shop for women’s clothing, a place to meet friends and get sound sartorial advice from the experienced staff. Sadly, the store closed when founder Lori Foos passed away early this year.

Lori’s passing and the store’s closure came as a shock to many patrons.

George Wilson and Michelle Evans of Cowboys Too next door to Lifestyles quickly decided that Belle Fourche should not be without Lifestyles.

They bought the building and went to work. There was a lot to do. With an impressive burst of fortitude and determination they completed the renovation project in six weeks, two weeks ahead of schedule. Peter Evans was largely responsible for the construction work. Although not a contractor or carpenter by trade, “Every tool he picks up he know how to use.” Michelle quipped.

The appearance of the store has changes some, there is more lighting, some comfortable furniture for “men” while waiting for their wives or girlfriends to try on clothes. Other things have remained the same. Pat Main, a longtime lifestyles employee is back on Tuesdays and Thursdays. “Having Pat Main in the store has been amazing.” Michelle noted.

The new owners are working with vendors and will soon have inventory from most of the familiar brands carried at Lifestyles.
