Cedric Dayton Hall, along with his Twin Brother Roderick, was born in Pierre to Virgil and Verna (Campbell) Hall on April 1, 1937. He was raised in the Joe Creek area. He attended school at Busy Bee School, St. Joseph Indian Boarding School and graduated from Stephan high school. Cedric married Lorita Lawrence, his boarding school sweet heart, on April 16, 1957. They moved to Dallas, Texas in 1959 where him and Rod attended Barber School. They had 4 children Janell, Karla, Lisa and Halsey. While in Texas he also broke and trained horses.

Ced and his family moved back to South Dakota in 1972, and settled in Blunt where there were lasting friendships, adventures and memories made there. Him and the family later relocated to Pierre where he was employed at the Pierre Indian Learning Center. After their children all graduated from high school Ced and Lorita relocated to Piedmont, South Dakota. He had different types of employment throughout the years but the one that he always found his way back to was being a ranch hand. Ced always had a story. Not sure if it was true, but it was a story and usually a good one.

Ced is survived by his 4 children Janell (Todd) Ward, Mobridge, Karla, Aberdeen, Lisa (Jess) Schlosser, Timber Lake and Halsey (Sarah Wetzler), Rapid City.
